Hole #11 Project Tentative Opening Dates

We are now in the final stages of finishing hole #11 including finishing grading and seeding. We are planning on opening the fairway for play around June 17-21, 2013.

Deep Tine Aeration and Topdressing Scheduled for June 10-11

Ladies’ Monday Night Social League Starts Tonight

We are going to have a great first night for Ladies’ Monday Night Social League. Beautiful sunshine and temperatures in the high twenties. Couldn’t ask for better. Hard to believe it was -12 with the wind chill last Monday. Just love Alberta weather. Have a wonderful night of golf everyone!

Opening Day Tomorrow!

Our 2013 season will kick off Saturday, May 4. Back 9 only. We will be taking tee times starting today. Saturday tee times will start at 10:00 am and go until closing. Sunday tee times start at 9:00 am until closing.

The Dunes and Audubon reaching out to the community!

We are proud to share one of the projects we have been working on. The Dunes recently purchased 20 bird houses for the Harry Balfour School’s grade one class. The class were given creative freedom and allowed to paint their houses as they liked. But that was only phase one, next a field trip was arranged (with snacks and everything) for the kids to come out and choose where their bird houses went up around the course. The houses were labeled with the kids names, which will be recorded and a copy will be given to the students, with an invite that, at one point during the summer, they come back to check on their house.

This project fits perfectly in with the Community Outreach and Education portion of our Audubon initiative. We couldn’t be happier with how the event worked out! So we would like to send a HUGE thank you out to Mrs. Shauna Paquettes’ grade one class at Harry Balfour! Hope to work with them again next year in a similar fashion!
