Helping Hands

Helping Hands is committed to reducing food insecurity in Grande Prairie by providing essential food support to individuals and families. We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food and support those facing hardship with dignity and respect.

As a regional hub connected with Food Banks Alberta, we also distribute food to up to 14 other food banks and community organizations throughout our region, extending the reach of donations beyond Grande Prairie.

Through the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners, we continue to respond to the growing needs of our community and work toward a healthier, more resilient Grande Prairie where no one has to face hunger alone.

Helping Hands has achieved accreditation through Food Banks Canada’s Standards of Excellence program, reflecting our commitment to providing food support with care, accountability, and respect for the individuals and families we serve.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada

The Kidney Foundation is committed to achieving excellent kidney health, optimal quality of life, and a cure for kidney disease. Through patient support programs, education, advocacy, research, and organ donation awareness, we help individuals and families affected by kidney disease navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges.

Donations to our FUND A NEED initiative, along with proceeds from the 50/50 cash draw, will directly support kidney patients and families across Northern Alberta. Your support helps ease the financial burden of kidney disease by providing assistance for necessities such as groceries, medications, transportation, and travel costs for treatment, while also helping children affected by kidney disease attend Kidney Camp.
